Today I am going to cover one of the most important things you can do with your pictures (and your blog)- make a watermark for all of the photos you display on your site- but before I do, I am going to announce the winner of the Uprinting.com prize package!
The winner is comment #4- Monika of My Lovebug Baby! Congrats Monika!!! Please email me your contact info so I can get Uprinting in touch with you!
Now, on to watermarks! You might be thinking, why watermark my pictures?
Putting a watermark on your pictures ensures nobody will steal your work and claim it as their own (or they will look pretty dumb doing so, as your name will be on the picture), and it also makes your blog look more professional- as well as making it easier to share when blogs feature your work. I love to share photos with a watermark- then I don’t have to worry about people not knowing to click the picture for a link to the site, etc. They will remember the author and get an idea of the tone of their site before even heading there!
Now, I use Adobe Photoshop for all of my watermarks, but I am using www.picnik.com today because it is totally free and anyone can access it!
First, upload a photo.
I hope that helps you add a watermark to your site! What is your favorite software to add watermarks with?
