We just recently baptized our sweet baby B over the weekend, and held a lovely pretty pink reception afterwards.
I am not going to lie and say I always have all of my stuff together weeks in advance of a party- I am pretty much a last minute freak out type of person when it comes to my kid’s parties. So when my mom and I realized the day before the baptism we didn’t have a favor for our guests, we knew we had to come up with something (I know- baptism favors- it sounds super over the top, but as my Father-in-law is the deacon at our church, we really think of the whole church as our extended family and I wanted to do something special to thank everyone for coming).
Bridget changing into her baptismal gown after being dunked! (With her Godfather/uncle behind her in his kilt).
So while my mom was finding some last minute decorations, she came up with this lovely little favor that is perfect for a baby shower, baptism or other kid’s party- Kisses from baby!
I simply printed “Kisses from Bridget” on printed paper (we picked a paper with light pink hearts), cut it out into squares, and stapled them across the top of Wilton small treat bags we picked up at Jo-Anns that we filled with 10 Hershey kisses each.
I placed them in a basket with a small sign that read “from Bridget”.
Completely easy, super quick, and SO adorable!
Don’t you love how these turned out? Next time I might print them out on plain white paper, punch them out with a scallop punch and glue them onto colored paper- but I love this idea and how quick they were to put together!
I have a TON of adorable crafts we put together from the baptism reception, and I will be showing them all in the next few weeks… I can’t wait to show you the whole party!
What is your favorite last minute party favor idea?
